Runs very small

I adore this top, when purchasing a read the comment to size up. I am generally a 6-8, so my normal size would be a size small, so thought it would be best to get the medium. Even with the medium it is still quite tight on the arms to the point I could have almost done up to a large. Other the. The size issue, it’s beautiful and very sophisticated.
